Its only 5 days until Christmas and here at BOSA we are in the middle of getting ready for our annual Christmas Party. which is our way of showing appreciation for all the hard work that the team here do throughout the year making sure that your airplanes remain in the sky.
We want you to get to know the team that work hard to make this happen and is your chance to do so. This month we are saying hello to Julia Hatherall, our Maintenance Support Administrator. She started with BOSA in July and has been a brilliant addition to the team.
Julia’s background has consisted of over 20 years in Office Management and PA duties. After leaving school, like many of us she didn't really know what to do so after having a look around she realised that there were always office management and PA jobs available and she saw this as a brilliant career to get into.
She signed up to do a PA course at Stockport college full time whilst working full time at Stockport Superbowl. While training she would go to college 5 days a week 9-5 and then head to the superbowl for her shift 5-12. She did this for two years but it has instilled in her the work ethic that she has today. Once she qualified her career has grown and she has brought to BOSA a wealth of experience and knowledge.
What is your role now?
Julia does a bit of everything. She was brought into a new department within the business so the role is constantly changing and evolving. She sits within the Line Maintenance team and helps to sort airport passes, get teams together for AOG jobs and sorts flights and hotels for the guys going out to these jobs as well as general office duties.
Julia saw BOSA as a growth opportunity, both personally and within the company. It gives her the change to grow with the business and make a difference while she does it. As it is a new department, she has the opportunity to use the skills she has gained throughout her career to make her mark on the role.
